IVORY TRADE STATEMENT

My music is heavily stylistic as I draw from a range of influences in which I can succinctly identify aspects I enjoy about them and what I will appropriate from them; my method of regurgitation. By using older technologies to record, I can create the illusion of something that previously existed whilst making something new. I do not always use retro-media, but this still applies. One goal is to be simultaneously timeless and associated with a time in which it never was. Another is to make the music I want to hear. Either way, I intend to enlighten through my accessibility. I often deal with personal and philosophical themes in a satirical light, juxtaposing darkness with whimsy. Oftentimes the music is supposed to capture the imperfection and candidness of DIY art rather than abusing it to the point of perfection. Then again, art is meant to change.
